VITAMIN C FP 10% injectabile
TARGET SPECIES: Horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats, birds (hen, turkey, goose, duck, pigeon).
INDICATIONS: In horses, cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, cats and birds (hen, turkey, goose, duck, pigeon) in: hemorrhagic, toxic conditions, various postoperative lesions and as a supplement treatment in infectious and metabolic diseases.
COMPOSITION:
1 ml of solution contains :
Acid ascorbic (Vitamina C)……………………………………………..….100 mg
Excipienţi: metabisulfit de sodiu………………………………………1,2 mg
Bicarbonat de sodiu, edetat disodic, apă pentru preparate
injectabile.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
None known.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
None reported. If you notice any serious reactions or other effects not stated in this leaflet, please inform your veterinarian.
The product VITAMIN C FP 10%, solution for injection, is administered intravenously, in the following daily doses:
– In adult horses and cattle: 5 – 100 ml day (0.5 – 10 g of ascorbic acid day). In the ketonemia in cows, up to 200 ml day (20 g of ascorbic acid day) can be administered.
– In sheep, goats, pigs and the youth of large animals: 2 – 10 ml day (0.2 – 1 g of ascorbic acid day).
– In dogs and cats: 0.5 – 2.5 ml day (0.05 – 1.0 g of ascorbic acid day), depending on the animals’ weight.
– In birds: 0.1 – 0.5 ml day (0.01 – 0.05 g of ascorbic acid day).
The administration is done slowly. The treatment can be repeated daily, for 2 – 4 days.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PROPER ADMINISTRATION
The product is administered with sterile syringes and needles and the inoculation spot is disinfected with alcohol. The intravenous administration is done slowly.
